🧭 National Food and Housing Support During the SNAP Service Pause

If you or someone you know is affected by the current SNAP disruption, help is available. Many national and community organizations are providing food and housing support for individuals and families across the United States.

🍎 Food Support
  • FoodFinder – Search verified food pantries, meal sites, and community programs anywhere in the U.S.
  • Feeding America – Find food banks in your area by ZIP code through this national network.
  • GoPuff Grocery Credit – $50 in grocery credit for verified SNAP recipients.
  • Schools and Youth Programs – Many public and charter schools provide free breakfasts, lunches, and snacks for students. Contact your local district or school directly to confirm participation.

Tip: Federal (.gov) websites may experience service delays during the shutdown. Local and nonprofit resources often update faster and provide more accurate information.

🏠 Housing Assistance
  • National Alliance to End Homelessness – Connect to shelters, transitional housing, and community programs nationwide.
  • HUD Exchange – Find approved housing counselors and rental assistance programs in your state.
  • Local Community Centers and Faith Organizations – Many offer emergency shelter, temporary housing, or rent assistance through donation-based programs.

📞 Quick Help
  • Call 211 (available in all 50 states) for food, housing, and financial help 24/7.
  • Visit findhelp.org to search verified support programs by category and location.
  • If you are facing eviction or a utility shutoff, contact your local Legal Aid office for free legal guidance.

💵 Financial Stability Resources
  • Check eligibility for WIC, TANF, or LIHEAP for food, childcare, and energy assistance.
  • Contact your bank or credit union about hardship programs for missed payments or overdrafts.
  • Many utility companies offer short-term relief plans during benefit delays.

🔒 Privacy and SafetyYou do not need to share personal details to receive help from most verified programs. Always confirm the organization’s legitimacy before giving out sensitive information.

🤝 Stay ConnectedThis page will be updated as new national and community resources become available.
If your organization provides assistance or referrals, please share your link or contact details so we can expand this list.
